Success! Foot bilge pump installed and operational and all sailing rigging installed and operational. I have not had the opportunities nor early life encouragement to develop mechanical skills so this is a big deal for me. No leaks either! I also sealed the bow and stern hatch covers so they no longer leak. What I like about the hatches is that they are hinged so I don’t have to worry about them coming off and going to the bottom of the ocean. What I don’t like is that they are small and the gaskets suck.Last week was a working week with Road Scholar. What a wonderful group of people. I had my first opportunity to talk to a group about the trip and I could not have asked for a more compassionate and positive audience with which to share the adventure this far. We had three nice paddle days complete with wildflowers and waterfalls.On we go.
